Kingston Adds 32GB Class 10 microSDHC Card

Kingston has commenced shipments of a 32GB Class 10 microSDHC card, adding to its family of 4GB, 8GB and 16GB Class 10 cards. The Kingston 32GB Class 10 microSDHC card is perfect for users with substantial memory needs.

Kingston’s Class 10 microSDHC cards are compatible with many of the latest smartphones, hi-def cameras and popular tablet PCs. The Class 10 cards have a fast minimum data transfer rate of 10MB/s and when combined with an optional adapter, can be used as a full-size SDHC card. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Powered By NVIDIA

Samsung’s cool-looking Galaxy Tab gets a 10.1-inch makeover and this time it’s running Tegra 2, featuring a Dual-Core CPU plus an NVIDIA GeForce GPU. The new specs will allow it to take full advantage of Android 3.0 a.k.a. Honeycomb, a platform that’s optimized for larger ‘tablet-sized’ devices with a spiffy new User Interface (UI).

The new Galaxy Tab dwarfs Samsung’s previous gen 7-inch display and is supposed to offer faster Web browsing, snappier response time and overall better performance. Thanks to the Tegra 2 chip, Honeycomb now has the power for a GPU-accelerated user interface. (more…)

Fujitsu debuts their first MeeGo

Fujitsu has just revealed their first MeeGo™ netbook based on the Intel® Atom™ processor, the LifeBook MH330. For the uninitiated, MeeGo is a project that combines Intel’s Moblin™ and Nokia’s Maemo projects into one Linux-based, open source software platform.

“For our valued users, the MeeGo-based netbook’s human-centric nature not only transcends the boundaries of netbooks but also serves as the new standard for tomorrow’s computing experience. The netbook crystallizes these two best-of-breed products and MeeGo is part of Fujitsu and Intel’s combined efforts to take the industry a big step forward,” said Mr. Lim Teck Sin Vice President, Engineering and Product Marketing, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific.

Fujitsu’s MH330 features MeeGo’s rich interface that allows users to have seamless access to a full suite of usable applications that include social networking tools and multimedia capabilities. Mobile Marketing to Hit 2011 Hard

In a short period of the last few years, mobile platforms and devices have seen a dramatic change in both technology as well as acceptance. Barely three years ago, the iPhone and Kindle revolutionized the mobile industry, paving the way for other platforms such as the iPad as well as Android based devices.

The trend has now become pervasive as can be seen by a vast majority of client-side marketers (88 percent) saying they will utilize mobile marketing in 2011.  75 percent plan to increase their spending on mobile marketing initiatives, according to a new survey from the ANA (Association of National Advertisers) in partnership with the MMA (Mobile Marketing Association).

The survey, conducted online during September-October 2010 identified 97 respondents – all client-side marketers largely from the ANA’s membership – that specifically indicated their intent to utilize mobile marketing in 2011 and asked these marketers a battery of questions about their experience and observations with the medium. Malaysian Entrepreneurs Celebrate Mobile Content Challenge

For the past few years, Maxis has been the driving force behind successfully commercialised content, applications and services in the mobile arena. Since 2007, the Maxis Mobile Content Challenge has been held in partnership with the Ministry of Information Communications and Culture and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

Yesterday the company held an event celebrating the success of 32 past winners and participants from Mobile Content Challenge 2007, 2008 and 2009. The event, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre was graced  by YB Dato’ Joseph Salang, Deputy Minister for Information Communications and Culture and Maxis Chairman, Raja Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Arshad bin Raja Tun Uda. Mobile Content Challenge entrepreneurs were acknowledged for their achievements in the Malaysian content space. (more…)
